We are seeking a SHIPPING/LOGISTICS CO-ORDINATOR to join a Birmingham based Global Freight and Logistics Business.

Offering an immediate start - on a Permanent Contract basis and offering a salary of £24,000 to £27000 with excellent benefits.

Seeking a candidate with a positive approach to work, who is keen & eager to learn, with a dedicated and determined approach and excellent communication skills.

The duties will include:

• Check, update, and input information regarding international shipments
• Utilising CUSTOMS systems for Import & Export shipments
• Responding to queries from internal departments and external customers,
• Investigating errors and discrepancies internally between departments and office (Uk & Overseas)
• Responding to emails in a timely, efficient, and professional manner
• Ensuring systems and spreadsheets are all up to date with accurate shipping information
• Preparing ad-hoc documents using Excel, for use with internal & external customers

The positions requires a candidate with excellent attention to detail skills, strong Excel skills and ideally previous experience of Shipping, Supply Chain, and Logistics.

This position would also suit a Graduate level candidate, or candidates who have previously worked in Shipping, Freight or International Logistics and/or Supply chain.

The position will be office based in Birmingham (B46) and will be general office hours 9-5.30pm Monday to Friday with an element of flexibility.
